Trip Highlights

Algonquin Park in Ontario's interior, presents a natural wilderness beauty at its very best. We will be traveling through many beautiful lakes using light weight canoes and short easy portages. Different campsites along the way give us opportunity to sample the nuances of this rich natural region.

Besides Algonquin Park's natural beauty, the wildlife viewing is outstanding. Paddlers may see beavers, bears, minks, and moose feeding by the waterways. And if you like to try your hand at fishing, the lakes are the place to drop a line.

There will be ample time each day to relax and explore the surrounding areas of Algonquin Park, swim, fish, or practice your paddling technique.

ITINERARY

Day 0: Arrival in Toronto.

Day 1-6 : This is a fun and adventurous canoe trip through some very beautiful wilderness areas in Canada. We will be covering 8 to 12 km a day at an easy pace, moving through numerous wilderness lakes and gentle rivers in a loop to return to our put in point. We plan to be off the water each day by 3 pm to allow everyone plenty of time to relax, swim, fish, explore and enjoy the area we are camping in that night.

Not only will you experience the majesty of Canada's wilderness, but also improve and enhance your paddling and wilderness skills. You will have ample opportunity to experience equipment and techniques that will ensure that your experience with nature will be a safe, warm dry and comfortable one.

Our trips generally are back in Toronto by 6:30 pm on the last day of the trip.
