March 2006

Greetings Club Members!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentines Day. As for the club, we had a great time on the Chocolate Fondue Snowshoe. We departed on a beautiful, clear evening and hiked to a private spot on the mountain, overlooking the city as far as the eye could see. As a result of this great success, much more interest has been shown to schedule another. Therefore, on March 19th we will be hosting another ChocolateFondue Snowshoe on Mount Seymour. If you missed out the first time, don’t pass up on this amazing opportunity, as it won’t come around again until next winter!

QUOTE OF THE MONTH

“It is amazing how much crisper the general experience of life becomes when your body is given a chance to develop a little strength.”

- Frank Duff

TIP OF THE MONTH

"For a Total Workout, Include Body, Mind and Spirit"

The best workout, according to top trainers and fitness experts, is one that includes the mind and spirit as well as the body. Consider some alternatives to your regular weight and cardio training. For a change of pace, try yoga, Pilates or tai chi, all of which engage your mind, body and spirit. Include these alternative mind/body disciplines on a regular basis. Add them to your workout regime and feel the difference.
