April 2006

Greetings Members!

What a great month it’s been for The Outdoor Club. Despite the unpredictable weather, it worked in the favour of The Outdoor Club, as we had outstanding weather for all events in the past month. We received a whole load of snow for the winter activities, and beautiful sunny days for the spring activities, all in one month. A big thank you to all those member’s who came out to the Chocolate Fondue Snowshoe on March 19th. The evening was amazing, and the turn out made the event such a success.

> New Coordinator for The Outdoor Club

The Outdoor Club will be undergoing some exciting changes over the next month. I will begin intense training and sole focus, on “Pole to Pole” in the hopes of participating in a worldwide expedition to inspire other youth around the globe to make a difference in their communities, beginning later this year. Unfortunately, due to these circumstances I have resigned my position as The Outdoor Club Coordinator. On the upside, I’d like to welcome PamelaNichol as the new Coordinator for The Outdoor Club. Pam has been hired internally. With her current knowledge of The Outdoor Club combined with her background in Wilderness Leadership, and passion for the outdoors, I am pleased to have Pam take on the position. Pam will be starting April 1st, 2006.
